Thank you for agreeing to take part in the second stage of our expert Delphi Survey for the EPSRC CRANE Network Plus Technology Trends cycle. This phase will remain open until end of January 2026, so we kindly ask that you complete the survey by that date.

In this second round, we are collecting your assessments on a limited number of emerging technologies that ranked highly in the last round. We collected this list by choosing technologies that were either ranked highly across all our respondents, or those that received a top ranking by 25% or more of people.

The goal of this stage is to sharpen our understanding of the technologies ranked highest in the previous round in terms of potential impact on cybersecurity - both technical and socio-technical. Following this phase, we will move to workshops in early 2026 that will then lead to specific funding calls and a report to our stakeholders in Government.

There are 26 emerging technologies in this phase, and we estimate it will take around 12 minutes to complete.

We recognise that some technologies may be unfamiliar. Each is accompanied by a brief description. If you feel unable to score a particular technology or group of technologies, you can simply leave it unscored.

Thank you very much for your time and support. It is much appreciated, and you will be helping set the agenda for research funding in cybersecurity via CRANE and our partners.
